Holiday shopping increases at Bay Park Square during Black Friday [Video]

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Holiday shopping has changed over the years, with many people now looking online to check things off their nice list.

So how much have cyber sales impacted in-person crowds?

“There’s something so much more in the spirit of Christmas to be walking around here and getting ideas,” said shopper Anita Gjerde.

In recent years, online shopping has dominated the holiday season, but places like Bay Park Square say the crowds are starting to come back in-person to stores.

Susan Videle, the director of market & business development for Bay Park Square, says that Simon Property Group reported a 6% increase in shoppers this past Black Friday compared to 2023.
