Hershey Theatre will close next year for renovations [Video]

HERSHEY, Pa. — The curtain is coming down at the Hershey Theatre for all of next year.

Officials at the venerable venue announced it will close its doors for all of 2025 while the theater undergoes a massive renovation project.

The one-year project, which is set to begin on Jan. 20, will give the facility some much-needed updates while preserving its storied history, according to Donald C. Papson, executive director of the M.S. Hershey Foundation. 

The project includes the installation of new air conditioning and electrical systems, enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity and reconfigured parking areas.

During the renovations, the theater will be closed to the public, Papson said.
