BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – First Alert AccuTrack shows some clouds over Mississippi streaming eastward into Alabama as we head into the evening. After we finally thawed out a bit this afternoon, temperatures will drop again overnight but not be anywhere near as cold with lows only in the mid to upper 30s. Clouds will also continue to increase in coverage overnight ahead of increasing rain chances for the latter half of the weekend.
Next Big Thing:A more unsettled weather pattern will take over Sunday as a series of disturbances move through the Southeast and high pressure slides to the east, keeping rain chances in the forecast through mid-week. For Sunday, expect a mostly cloudy sky and temperatures topping out in the upper 50s. The morning hours will likely be mainly dry with only some patchy drizzle possible at best.
