City leaders joined vendors at the Broadway Market to emphasize the importance of supporting small businesses, especially around the holidays.

“Our small businesses are essential to the economic well-being of the City of Buffalo,” Acting Mayor Christopher Scanlon said Saturday morning. “Coming out and shopping locally on a year-long basis — particularly around the end of the year, with people trying to make their bottom line and support our small business community — is extremely important.”
