PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — Nearly 100 cats were found in poor living conditions on a property in southern Arizona, according to a news release from the Pima County Sheriff’s Office. Four of the cats were dead.
The animals were in poor living conditions and many of the animals also needed immediate medical care, officials said.
Detectives from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Community Problems Unit helped the Pima Animal Care Center search the property, which was referenced in an animal neglect investigation.
According to the release, 91 cats, one turtle and one lizard were confiscated from the property and taken to PACC. Four additional cats were found deceased.
