MUSKEGON, Mich. — A Muskegon soon-to-be father of three was given a car after being nominated by a close friend for a Christmas car giveaway at a local auto shop.
Anthony Burns thought he was running an errand with a friend Friday afternoon when he walked into Joe’s Service Station Friday afternoon. As it turns out, that was quite the white lie.
Instead, he was given a used car as part of the small business’s 8th Annual Wheels for Christmas giveaway.
Joe’s Service Station takes nominations for people deserving and in need of a new-to-them vehicle.
Ezequiel DeJesus was one of about 50 people to submit a letter this year nominating their pick. In his case, that was Burns.
