A new survey shows local employers are willing to pay higher salaries to workers who choose to come into the office.

Human Resources recruiting company Robert Half found 55% of managers in Minneapolis are willing to increase starting pay for employees who commit to working in-office rather than from home.

The survey shows in some cases new hires are making up to 20% more than their at-home counterparts.

Twin Cities Business Magazine is also reporting employers are more tuned in to the importance of office culture, creativity, and the ability to mentor the next generation of workers and leaders.

Robert Half’s data also shows Minneapolis among the top ten cities in the country for workers seeing hybrid (part-time in the office) jobs. 28% of workers in Minneapolis looking for those opportunities ranks seventh in the country. Sacramento, CA (36%), San Francisco, CA (31%) and New York (31%) are the highest.
