Louisiana’s new THC law could devastate a growing industry [Video]

Weed, Mary Jane, reefer, loud, sticky, dank, grass. Whatever you call it, maybe getting high is your thing. Maybe it’s not your thing, but you own a business that sells THC products.

Either way, the legal status of marijuana in the state of Louisiana is changing.I had on Joe Gerrity, CEO of Crescent City Canna, to explain how the new laws are changing and how Louisiana businesses are left scrambling to deal with the ramifications.

So what are these laws going into effect January 1st? And how did we get into this situation n the first place?

Gerrity explains that in 2018, the Trump administration’s Farm Bill legalized hemp-derived cannabinoids nationwide. This created a loophole for businesses to sell hemp products with active ingredients like CBD, CBN, and THC. And, of course, each state had to create their own way to deal with these laws
