Irish start-up that charges your phones in seconds is turning heads at CES 2025 [Video]

A number of Irish firms have been turning heads at the CES tech show in Las Vegas.

The world’s largest tech show has this year been focused on the impact of AI and sustainability.

But amongst the multi-nationals are a number of Irish start-ups showing off their wears.

One Irish firm making a splash in Las Vegas is Swippitt which has invented a toaster-like device that can charge your phone in just two seconds.

The game-changing device invented by Padraic Connolly from Galway has already received a number of “top 10 best new device” accolades.

Swippitt is compatible with iOS, Android, and all major phone models, but for launch the company are focused on the full range of iPhone models 14, 15, and 16.

Mr Connolly previously said of his product, which is expected to cost just over €400 when it launches later this year: “We’ve created a user-friendly, simple to use, fast, and sustainable way …
