Sen. Tommy Tuberville wants to bring Hegseth to Alabama [Video]

(WALA) – Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville says he wants to bring Pete Hegseth to Alabama after he becomes secretary of defense.

Tuberville told reporters this week he looks forward to confirming Hegseth as secretary of defense and bringing him to Alabama to visit all military installations and defense companies. Tuberville specifically mentioned Mobile.

“I will bring him to obviously as many places as I can in the state of Alabama. We build now submarines and ships in Mobile. We have close to a thousand defense contractors in Huntsville, along with Redstone Arsenal. We have Anniston, where we refurbish tanks,” Tuberville said.

Hegseth had a hearing before the senate armed services committee last week, but a confirmation vote hasn’t been taken yet.
