Man steals pickup truck from CT fire department, gets arrested in Massachusetts [Video]

WINDSOR, Conn. — A Windsor man was arrested in Deerfield, Mass. by Massachusetts State Police early Saturday morning for allegedly stealing a pickup truck from the Windsor Fire Department and crossing state lines, where he conducted suspicious motor vehicle stops.

Kristian Avery, 46, will face multiple charges, according to Massachusetts State Police. He could face charges in Connecticut as well.

The Windsor Police Department reports that around 3:39 a.m., officers responded to the Hayden Station Firehouse on Basswood Road following a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, they discovered that a suspect broke a television, took tools from a fire truck and stole a Windsor Fire Department Ford Expedition SUV from the garage bay.
