Millions of federal employees will return to the office thanks to a new executive order signed by Donald Trump. In one of the many signed orders issued Monday, the White House has now instructed all U.S. government departments and agencies in the executive branch to end remote work sending employees to return to work 5 days a week. The new order says the following,
“Heads of all departments and agencies in the executive branch of Government shall, as soon as practicable, take all necessary steps to terminate remote work arrangements and require employees to return to work in-person at their respective duty stations on a full-time basis, provided that the department and agency heads shall make exemptions they deem necessary.
In addition, Trump also reinstated a policy to remove job protections from tens of thousands of government workers.
