MENOMONIE, Wis. — The man accused of starting the fire that burnt down a western Wisconsin strip club has been charged with arson, and allegedly told deputies strip clubs are “against his beliefs.”
Colton Jansen was charged in Dunn County with arson of a building, burglary, and possession of burglarious tools. He is accused of starting a fire over the weekend at Shooters Showgirls, located outside Menomonie. Officials say no one was hurt.
According to the criminal complaint, surveillance cameras captured a man in the venue attempting to break into the ATM, pull tab machine, and stuffed animal claw machine. Then he allegedly used a torch to start a fire.
Deputies were able to identify a possible suspect using highway license plate readers, court documents say.
