A look inside the Bangor Innovation Center | Local News [Video]

BANGOR — For more than two decades, the city of Bangor has been helping new companies, entrepreneurs and other start-ups to launch their businesses — all under the same roof.

The Bangor Innovation Center is a business incubator owned by the city — a place designed to support small businesses during their early stages by providing a physical facility for them to do their work.

“It allows companies who may not be able to function an opportunity and a chance to get started,” said Brad Wall, Bangor business development specialist.

Rental space at the facility includes both offices and large areas for warehousing and manufacturing.

For 22 years, the incubator has supported over 50 companies including My Maine Bag and Chute Chemicals, and current tenant Flexware, which has used the location to design and manufacture refrigeration equipment.
