Excitement is building for a new food hall opening in the coming months in West Oakland where community leaders have been working to revitalize the diverse and historically rich area.
“Get ready for the grand opening of Prescott Market—West Oakland’s very own market hall,” site officials said on Instagram earlier this month.
What we know:
The market will feature a variety of food and beverage businesses in a 12,000-square-foot industrious space on 18th Street at Peralta Street.
The space will be filled with vendors including Almanac Brewery, High Wire Coffee, Pizzeria Violetta, Fast Times Burgers, Woo Can Cook, and Prescott Meats & Deli.
The site was looking for two more businesses to join the food hall.
Prescott Market officials said they’re seeking to create a platform for emerging, community-minded entrepreneurs.
