President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Abass-Adams Nurudeen as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Social Investment Fund.
A letter issued and signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to President John Dramani Mahama, stated that the appointment takes effect from Friday, January 24, 2025.
The letter indicated that the appointment was made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution, pending the constitutionally required advice of the governing board of the Fund, in consultation with the Public Service Commission.
The private legal practitioner has 14 days to indicate his acceptance of the appointment or otherwise.
The President congratulated the appointee and wished him well.
Meanwhile, Abass-Adams Nurudeen has expressed his gratitude to the President for the appointment.
In a Facebook post, he wrote, “Thank you, Mr. President, for the honour done me.”
