After losing their daughter to a drunk driver, parents urge responsible choices [Video]

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — “Don’t let your decisions this New Year’s define how 2025 will begin for you,” said Denise Yon.

Since then Denise and her husband Paul have made it their mission to prevent other families from receiving the same phone call they did.

“We need people to be cool and take action. Step up and do the right thing,” said Denise, saying that there were several opportunities where the drunk driver that killed her daughter could have been stopped from getting behind the wheel.
