Alaska Primary election day started with supporters waving political signs along Northern Lights Boulevard in Anchorage.
“This election is going to be decided by Alaskans. People are showing up to the polls and they’re letting folks know, look, this is how I feel,” said Nick Begich, whose running for U.S. Representative.
Primary election ballot, voters are able to choose who will be the next United States representative Candidates, including Nick Begich, Mary Peltola and Nancy Dahlstrom.
At an Eagle River shopping Center, Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom met with voters in the Jitters coffee shop.
“I want to go to Washington DC and defend Alaska and stand up to those people who are trying to shut Alaska down,” said Nancy Dahlstrom.
In Soldotna, Current U.S. Representative Mary Peltola met with voters.
Also on the ballot is Carolyn Hall who’s running for a seat in the Alaska state legislature.
