Albemarle County is preparing to roll out a new web portal which will allow residents and businesses to search for land parcels, apply for permits, request inspections, pay invoices and more.
But in order to launch by Jan. 13, the county must transition away from its current system, CountyView, which means the last time to submit an application via CountyView will be 5 p.m. Monday.
“No new applications will be accepted after 5 pm this day,” the county said in a statement announcing the new web portal.
As the county transitions to Civic Access, the system will be offline from Wednesday until Jan. 12.
The county promises the new web portal will bring residents and businesses:
- Enhanced efficiency and consolidated access to all applications in one place.
- Real-time updates and transparency throughout the application process.
- And clear and consistent communication to ensure applications stay on track.
