AR content start-up Imvizar receives 1.5m capital injection [Video]

Irish start-up Imvizar has raised €1.5m from investors including Delta Partners VC to launch its augmented reality (AR) storytelling technology.

The capital injection will fund the launch and further development of the AR creation tool, Lureo, and support the company’s plans to expand its operations in the US.

Lureo offers a more user-friendly interface than other AR content platforms, which typically require coding and development skills to use, and Imvizar expects the tools to be used by filmmakers, educators marketers and brand strategists among others.

“Our mission is to make spatial storytelling as mainstream and accessible as possible,” said Michael Guerin, CEO and founder of Imvizar.

“With Lureo, we’re breaking down the barriers to AR content creation, enabling anyone, anywhere, to produce immersive experiences. Just as the introduction of 4G and video streaming drove innovation and made content creation more accessible, Lureo will do the same for AR as we usher in a new era of spatial computing.
