Measles Case in Southern Kenai Peninsula
Public health officials confirm a case of measles in a resident of the Southern Kenai Peninsula. Measles is a highly infectious viral respiratory disease. The patient is an unvaccinated adult who began experiencing symptoms while traveling home to Alaska from a trip overseas. They are now in isolation. But health officials say the person was infectious while flying on January 10th on Alaska Air flight 228 from Seattle to Anchorage.
Juneau Launches Short-Term Rental Task Force
The City & Borough of Juneau has launched a short-term rental task force. This group, which will be active for about 5 months, is made up of Assembly members & members of the public. The task force will ultimately evaluate and recommend different options for managing short-term rentals in Juneau.
