Attorneys release surveillance video in downtown Milwaukee hotel death

ON Friday, attorneys representing D’Vontaye Mitchell’s family released surveillance video of the moments Mitchell was beaten at the downtown Milwaukee Hyatt Regency hotel.Forty-three-year-old Mitchell died just outside the hotel June 30, after a Hyatt security guard and three other employees held Mitchell face down for about 10 minutes in the carport. WISN 12 News has blurred the faces of the hotel employees involved because no charges have been filed in the case. Attorney William Sulton, one of the lawyers representing Mitchell’s widow DeAsia Harmon and daughter Morgan Mitchell, said Friday the video proves the case warrants criminal charges.
