HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -The end of another 90 day across the region came with a twist. Recent rains have added moisture to the ground. This has allowed for daytime evaporation to humidify the air. So, it has felt more like the jungle today across the region. Of course, the climate in the jungle features a shower and thunderstorm every day so we should expect a downpour tonight across much of the region. While flooding is unlikely for most, the tropical nature of the air is likely to produce a few downpours. Should a downpour last more than an hour, localized street flooding can occur. Should as downpour stall for a few hours, then the resulting cloudburst would be a candidate for a freak flash flood.
