RENO, Nev. (KOLO)- The holiday season is fast approaching and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada will be passing out barrels for holiday food drives around town.

The food bank says when you pick-up a barrel yourself it helps the organization save money including utilizing staff where needed. The organization says it is seeing more families who are struggling and are asking for help. So any business, agency or individual can start a food drive this season using one of these barrels.

The barrel pick-up will take place on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the south side of the Grand Sierra Resort.
