BBC Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly made a special announcement at the beginning of the latest episode on Saturday, November 30. The quarter-finals kicked off with a bang as the professional dancers delivered an electrifying routine in homage to the show’s history.

Tess Daly and her co-host Claudia Winkleman welcomed the judges, who were adorned in extravagant costumes representing characters from musicals, with Shirley Ballas almost unrecognisable as Miss Trunchbull from Matilda.
