Berkeley Co. urges residents to report storm damage [Video]

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Residents and businesses in Berkeley County are being urged to report any storm damage caused by Tropical Storm Debby.

County officials say these reports are essential for determining the level of federal and state funding needed for recovery.

Once damage is reported, county crews will conduct a thorough assessment.

The information collected will be compiled into a report that will be submitted to state and federal authorities.

These authorities will then conduct a follow-up assessment to determine the extent of financial assistance that will be provided.

Damage reports can include anything from flooded vehicles to property and structural damage.
