ST. LOUIS — Insurance experts warn that health insurance scams are rising again in Missouri.
While Open Enrollment for plans starting Jan. 1 already ended, the marketplace is still open for plans starting Feb. 1, which is why scam texts and phone calls are still being sent out.
“You should always go into a health clinic or into a facility that is in person. That way you know that you’re not getting scammed by those callers, by people just taking your information,” said Sunni Johnson, Health Application Team Coordinator at nonprofit Affinia Healthcare.
