CENTENNIAL, Colo. — As the Walton-Penner ownership group continues to reshape the Denver Broncos, its impact on a league level is growing in just its third season of ownership.
Several days after speaking on behalf of NFL owners at a press conference in Minnesota following the approval of private equity investments in franchises, Broncos owner and CEO Greg Penner has been named to his fourth league committee — the NFL’s Finance Committee — per a league source.
Penner had already been serving on the NFL’s Compensation, Business Ventures and Special Ownership committees before adding this fourth such assignment.
Including Owner Carrie Walton Penner’s two NFL Committee assignments of her own — the NFL Foundation and DEI Committees — the Walton-Penner group will have a presence on six league committees, a testament to its growing NFL …
