TAMPA, Fla. — The Randy Gregory era is over before it even started.
During tonight’s Buccaneers-Jaguars preseason game, the broadcast crew announced the team has reached an agreement with the linebacker and he will be released this week.
Ronde Barber added the team has recouped Gregory’s signing bonus in the process.
After signing with the team on April 4, the linebacker did not report for mandatory offseason training activities and has not been with the team for the entirety of training camp.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed him on the Reserve/Did Not Report list. He signed a $3 million deal with the team, but due to the accrual of fines, we expect the Bucs to get most, if not all, of that money back.
