AVONDALE ESTATES, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A small business owner in Avondale Estates is reeling after burglars ran a car through the front of her store that sells CBD and hemp products.
Diana Padron owns Hemp Haven near E College Avenue and Livingston Place. She was shocked to be awoken by her phone just after 4 a.m. on Monday.
“I saw a car was in my store,” Padron said.
Security video shows the entire ordeal. A crew backed a stolen Kia Optima through the front of Hemp Haven, rummage through the store, and then jump into getaway vehicles, all in less than 90 seconds.
“Mostly what they did was damage property,” Padron said.
Padron said it’s not the first time her business has been burglarized. Surveillance video from Oct. 23 shows a group attempting to break in but struggling to get through the glass.
