Burglary suspect arrested, but many more under investigation [Video]

SACRAMENTO, Calif — One arrest was made in connection to a string of burglaries impacting downtown Sacramento businesses, but other investigations are just getting started.

The brazen burglaries in downtown Sacramento have been caught on camera.

In a security video from Mikuni, two thieves can be seen kicking in the safe of Mikuni’s downtown location. They ran out of the restaurant, committing the crime without even bothering to cover their faces.

Owner Taro Arai said they lost thousands just after midnight on August 26.

“We are so, I don’t want to say used to it, but we’ve been through ups and downs like looting, and there are so many things that have happened in the past and the first thing I said was, ‘Did anyone get hurt?’” Arai said.

Arai has nine different locations and has experienced break-ins at two other locations.
