BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – The Butte County Board of Supervisors will discuss the Pioneer Community Energy Project and a proposed solar project today.
The board will go over the results from an impact assessment study conducted on the Pioneer Community Energy Project. The project would allow governments to procure electricity generation for residents and businesses at wholesale market rates while still using companies like PG&E.
The assessment study was initiated back in July.
They will also discuss a proposed solar panel project near Bangor on La Porte Road. The facility will generate up to three megawatts of alternating current solar energy using over 7,000 solar modules.
The energy would then be sold to PG&E.
