Capital One outage prevents customers from accessing their money Boston 25 News [Video]

An outage at Capital One has stretched into a second day, preventing some customers from getting direct deposits or being able to use what money is in their accounts.

Capital One said the issue stemmed from a third-party vendor that “temporarily impacted” some services, CNN reported. Some of the impacted systems include payment processing, deposits, consumer banks, small business banks and commercial banks.

The vendor, according to CNN, is FIS Global and provides financial tech services to several major bank chains. According to the FIS Global website it also works with insurance companies, retail businesses, restaurants and governments.

The company posted to its @AskCapitalOne page on X that it was “actively working with the vendor to resolve the issue and restore services, and apologize for the inconvenience.”

We are actively working with the vendor to resolve the issue and restore services, and apologize for the inconvenience.
