ROCHESTER, Minn.-With students going back to school, parents with kids still in car seats may be looking to get them cleaned.
Local small business Baby Bear Cleanup had a car seat cleanup event to help families get their car seats ready before the first day.
Baby Bear Cleanup owner Celeste McDermott says kids are staying in the car seat longer with adjustable car seats. With kids sitting in seats longer, families have more to clean.
She says car seats should be cleaned every three months and if they get too dirty they can become a safety hazard.
McDermott says, “We all are very worried about our children’s safety. I mean safety is the number one goal of the car seats so if we can keep the seats safe and clean it keeps the seats going for that longer amount of time.
