Caught On Camera: Man uses brick to break into several businesses along St. Claude Avenue [Video]

A string of small business owners in the Bywater area said they are being burglarized, almost on a weekly or sometimes daily basis.Over the past few weeks, several of them said they have been impacted in this wave of crime.NOPD confirms they are investigating several calls about business burglaries along St. Claude and in the area since last month. Officials said they could not confirm if they are all connected but they are investigating. Dramatic surveillance footage shows a man banging a big rock against the window at Jamaican Jerk Restaurant along St. Claude Tuesday night.He continues to hit the window several times, before you see him jump through. Once inside he is seen rummaging through things before grabbing the cash drawer. He hits and throws it across the restaurant to open it, eventually taking the cash.
