OGDEN CANYON, Utah — The top executive of a company in Utah and his 16-year-old daughter were killed when a bulldozer broke free from a tow truck, falling onto their vehicle, authorities say.

Richard Hendrickson, 57, of Uintah, Utah, was the CEO and president of Lifetime Products, which builds residential basketball hoops, folding tables and chairs, and is based in Clearfield, Utah. The company released a statement announcing his death and that of his daughter, Sally.

“Richard was more than a company leader — he was also a visionary and a friend to many within our business and the wider community,” the statement says. “His unwavering dedication and passion were instrumental in driving Lifetime Products’ success and growth. His loss leaves us with an immense void in our company and an even bigger crater in our hearts.”
