CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A 9-year-old Charleston girl will appear in a film being distributed around the nation starting on Independence Day.
Sabina Grace Johnson has a role in “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot.” The film is based on a true events. It tells the story of 22 African American families from a rural church in Texas who adopted 77 hard-to-place children in the foster care system.
Johnson plays the character of Shanta, a biological daughter of one of the families who adopts.
