ATLANTA — For nearly a decade, Chick-fil-A has reigned as America’s favorite fast food chain, but a report says a different spot bumped the restaurant down the ladder.

The fast food restaurant known for its chicken is now the country’s third most popular fast food chain, according to USA Today’s annual Reader’s Choice survey. Chick-fil-A started as a small business in Georgia in 1946. The restaurant’s founder, S. Truett Cathy, opened the first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atlanta’s Greenbriar Shopping Center. Truett’s family still holds leadership roles within the company today. His son Dan, who was appointed as the company’s CEO in 2013, and grandson Andrew, currently serves as the current Chick-fil-A CEO.

This year, readers voted California-based Del Taco number one. The popular taco chain serves up Mexican fare including burritos, quesadillas and nachos. The restaurant also offers burgers and fries. Del Taco also serves breakfast and offers a vegan and vegetarian menu.
