BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. – Scotty’s Landing, a historic bar and grill along the Sacramento River, has officially changed hands after Butte County Supervisors approved a lease transfer during their Tuesday meeting.
The approval allows TY Cape Holdings to assume the lease from former owner John Scott, whose family has operated the iconic business since 1955.
The county owns the land where Scotty’s Landing is located, and in 1983, Scott’s father agreed to a 99-year lease with the county to continue operating the establishment, which provides access to the Sacramento River’s recreational resources. The new owners, TY Cape Holdings, will take over the remaining 57 years of the lease.
