PERFORMING A SPACEWALK. THIS MORNING, A TRIBUTE TO CHRISTA MCAULIFFE WILL BE UNVEILED AT THE NEW HAMPSHIRE STATEHOUSE. MCAULIFFE WAS A CONCORD NEW HAMPSHIRE, SCHOOL TEACHER AND ASTRONAUT WHO DIED IN 1986 ON THE SPACE SHUTTLE CHALLENGER. THE MEMORIAL STATUE HAS BEEN IN THE WORKS FOR A FEW YEARS, AND THAT COMMISSION THAT HELPED CREATE THE STATUE SAYS THEY HOPE IT WILL CONNECT FUTURE GENERATIONS WITH HER LEGACY. I THINK WHAT CHRISTA WILL DO HERE, AND I KNOW THE COMMISSION’S HOPE FOR WHAT CHRISTA WILL DO HERE, IS BE SORT OF A BEACON OF HOPE FOR EVERYBODY THAT COMES HERE.
