MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile City Council Finance Committee met Tuesday afternoon to discuss the latest on the funding process for the new Civic Center project.
“If you don’t take risk…you don’t move forward,” said City Council Member and Chairman of the Finance Committee Joel Davis.
Davis said the construction of a new civic center is certainly a risk, but one the city has decided to take.
Members of the City Council along with the Deputy Director of Finance Scott Collins discussed the cost of the civic center project.
Councilman Davis said there are several factors to take into consideration when it comes to anticipating a project this size.
