City of Riders quiets down again after rally [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – The City of Riders is settling back to its quiet, small-town feel after the 84th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the first-ever Sturgis Half-Mile TT Race.

Over the past two weeks, the small town of Sturgis saw its population grow to hundreds of thousands as motorcyclists worldwide gathered for the 84th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Businesses that had a significant boost during the rally are now transitioning back, and some are more than happy for the quiet city streets.

“I ride myself, but I don’t want to hear another motorcycle. I don’t want to talk about tattoos. No offense to our career, but it’s been a long couple of weeks, and we are ready for the quiet,” said Chris Valle, owner of Old School Tattoo.
