The Ravens have never played a team called the Commanders.
BALTIMORE — After both teams came up with impressive wins on Sunday, the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens turn their attention toward a big time faceoff. It’s been four years since the two teams last met.
This is only the second time a Washington team has played against the Ravens’ star quarterback, Lamar Jackson. It’s the first time the Ravens have played against a team called the Commanders (In 2020, the Washington franchise was known by the transitional moniker, the Washington Football Team).
On Oct. 4, 2020, the Burgundy and Gold lost its matchup against Jackson and the Ravens by a final score of 31-17. In that game, Jackson ran for a 50-yard touchdown and threw for two scores. The Ravens took control early and did not let up.
