Comstock Park gun store owner says Facebook ‘wrongly’ removed business page [Video]

Lisa Mayo, who owns Flashpoint Firearms, said their page was removed two weeks ago, which has been hurting their business.

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. — For small brick and mortar retailers, Facebook can be an easy and cheap way to get your name out there. While they’ve only had their Alpine Avenue space for four years, Lisa Mayo, owner of Flashpoint Firearms said, she’s been operating the business for 12 years. She adds during that time, they’ve gained over 5,000 followers.

“There has been about a 70% reduction of people being able to see what I have here at the store,” said Mayo. “So I’ve drastically felt the actual impact of Facebook taking it on my page.”

Two weeks ago, Mayo got a notification that her gun store’s Facebook page had been “unpublished.” Which meant the public was no longer able to see it.
