Connecticut residents to receive relief after major flooding [Video]

CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — Help is now available for homeowners and businesses affected by August’s deadly flooding. Local and state officials are highlighting efforts by the Small Business Administration.

FEMA is opening a recovery office on Wednesday. FEMA said it has already registered more than 900 people, and more than $2 million is available to people affected by August’s deadly flooding.

The Small Business Administration has already opened two recovery centers, and on Tuesday, top officials will visit one of them to demonstrate the government’s efforts to help business owners.

WTNH has talked to many of them in the past six weeks. From chicken farms to day care centers, businesses were destroyed, and they had to start over from scratch.
