Greenville City Council could soon decide on a proposed plan to improve the Greenline-Spartanburg neighborhood near its downtown, its first in more than 20 years.This week, council received an update regarding the plan for the neighborhood during a work session. “We want to be able to give them the type of infrastructure improvements and quality of life that they deserve, but also make it so that they’re not forced out, and that hopefully, we can get some more people back there,” Council Member Ken Gibson said. The neighborhood is bordered by Stone Avenue and Wade Hampton Boulevard near downtown. A full draft of the Greenline-Spartanburg Neighborhood Plan can be found on the city’s website.
