RAPID CITY, S.D. – Each month, a class teaching life saving skills is available at Rapid City’s Roosevelt Swim Center.
The swim center offers CPR classes using the Red Cross’ Blended Learning. Students can go at their own pace as they earn their certification through an interactive online course.
Skills sessions are scheduled on the second Tuesday every month at 1 p.m. There’s also a course for teens who are looking to make a little extra money babysitting.
Rapid City Recreation Program Specialist Teaghan Slagle says, “We do have a babysitter training class on October 14. Those still up really quick, but it’s a good opportunity for kids to get CPR certified and learn the safety skills needed to babysit.”
Fall swim lessons at the swim center are set to begin on September 30. You can register for the programs here.
