Deadline approaching to apply for flood assistance [Video]

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An important deadline if you were impacted by last September’s flooding.

Homeowners, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that got damaged due to the severe storms, have until October 25 to apply for a small business administration economic injury disaster loan.

The disaster declaration, which makes loans available to those impacted, is primarily for Lackawanna County, but also covers parts of Luzerne, Monroe, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties.

Businesses and nonprofit organizations can borrow up to 2 million dollars to repair damaged buildings, grounds, or inventory.
