Deadline for disaster assistance from Helene, Milton is Tuesday [Video]

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Tuesday marks the deadline for several disaster assistance programs related to hurricane’s Helene and Milton. The good news is that you can apply for help from multiple agencies. 

Government assistance is still available. If you lost property or had property damage, this is your last chance to get some help. 

Specifically the Small Business Administration offers low interest disaster loans. These loans are available to businesses and non-profits but also homeowners and renters. The loans are open to anyone who needs help to get back on their feet. 

According to the SBA, the loan amounts are higher than you might expect, going up to $2 million dollars for businesses. Interest rates vary, but for homeowners it is as low as 2.8%
