Denver, Colorado faced a series of fatal shootings over the past weekend, prompting concern from city officials.
On Sunday, police officials confirmed that four men were killed and one woman was hospitalized due to a gunshot wound in Commerce City, a suburb in Denver. Police also announced that a person of interest in the shooting was discovered with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The person of interest was pronounced dead.
Across the Denver area, the city of Aurora saw one person was killed and three others injured in two separate altercations on Sunday. Additionally, in the city of Denver, a series of different shooting and stabbing incidents saw six injuries and one fatality, police said.
